CPNG attends AHPSU Disaster Ready Workshop in Port Moresby

Port Moresby: The Australian Humanitarian Partnership Support Unit (AHPSU) team from Australia hosted a two-day workshop for Disaster Ready 2.0 partners from the 21st-22nd of May, as part of their week-long monitoring visit to PNG.

Caritas staff who attended the event found it to be very insightful, especially in during the Communications and MEL sessions covering topics of data privacy and data quality. Partners also had a chance to share their updates from various project sites, further enriching discussions to enhance learning.

The 4-year Disaster Ready program is in its 2nd phase, and implemented by Care International, Plan, Save The Children, World Vision and the Church Agency Network Disaster Operations Network (or CANDO) Consortium. CPNG is part of the consortium along with Adventist Disaster Relief Agency (ADRA), United Church PNG and Baptist Union PNG.

Caritas PNG has one project under Disaster Ready, which is the establishment of a preposition facility in the Highlands Region.
